Meet Our Team

Kirsty has a BA in Childhood Practice and has worked at Acrewood for 10 years.  She has been manager for  4 years. Kirsty is most passionate about spaces, environemnts and using creativity across all areas of nursery life.

Dawn is currently working towards her PDA in Childhood Practice and has worked at Acrewood since 2007. She began as a practitioner and has moved up to become Deputy Manager in 2021. Dawn has many years of experience across the entire setting and is now our EEL passionately providing support for all children and families.

Catherine (Cathy) is the Managing Director and owner of Acrewood. She has owend and worked within the serivce since 1991 when it opened. Cathy is very passionate about Acrewood all round and cares deeply about the experiences of the children, families and her team who use the service daily.

Laura has an SVQ 4 in SSCYP. She qualified in 2020 and started at Acrewood in 2022. Laura started as an ECE and then became Maple Room Senior in 2023. She is most passionate about support for childrens leanring partiucalrly those with ASN.

Ellice currently holds an SVQ 4 in SSCYP. Ellice started as a Modern Apprentice at Acrewood in 2021 and worked up to becoming Holly Room Senior in 2025. Ellice is most passionate about relationships with families.

Jodie has an SVQ 4 in SSCYP and has worked at Acrewood since 2015. She has worked in the Maple Room for the entirety of her time here and is passionate about environments, play experiences and support for Pre-School age chidlren.

Ellie has a HNC in Childhood Practice and joined the Acrewood team in 2025. Ellie currently works in the Maple Room.  Ellie enjoys watching children progress and loves helping them learn.

Caitlyn has a HNC in Childhood Practice, has worked in Early Years since 2021 and joined the Acrewood team in 2025. She is most passionate about building relationships with families and children.

Shannon has an SVQ 3 in SSCYP and has been in Early Years since 2018. She joined Acrewood in 2023 and has worked primarily with under 2's. Shannon enjoys the fun of nursery and will almsot always be singing or being "silly".

Siobhan has an SVQ 3 in ELC and has been in Early Years for over 10 years. She joined Acrewood in 2025 and has worked primarily within our Maple Room. Siobhans personality shines through as she is able to let go and have fun which the children love!

Leighann has an SVQ 3 in Early Years Care  and has been in Early Years since 2008. She joined Acrewood in 2023 and has worked primarily with under 2's. Leighann is most passionate about the care and nurture of chidlren.

Daniel has an HNC in EEC and has worked at Acrewood since 2023. Daniel has worked within the Maple Room and no Woodys. He is passionate about quality time and interactions to support chidlrens development. 

Emma is currently a Modern Apprentice within the Acrewood team joining us in 2024 and hopes to achieve her qualification in 2026. Emma is most passionate about building relationships with families and children.

Kiara is currently a Modern Apprentice within the Acrewood team joining us in 2025 and hopes to achieve her qualification in late 2026. Kiara is currently working within our Maple Room and shows a very naturally nurturing approach.

Tara is currently a Modern Apprentice within the Acrewood team joining us in 2025 and hopes to achieve her qualification in late 2026. Tara is currently working with our under 2s and shows a very naturally nurturing approach.
