"Sending your child to nursery can be a daunting experience for any parent. The idea of handing them over to unfamiliar faces, coupled with the guilt of being apart, can feel overwhelming. When we chose Acrewood, we felt hopeful, but we didn't know what to expect. It's a big leap of faith as a parent. However, our daughter has truly thrived at Acrewood. She started attending when she was just over a year old, and over the years, we have loved watching her grow and flourish under their care. Unfortunately, we’ve faced significant health challenges within the family in recent years, involving emergencies and extended hospital stays. This has naturally been a difficult and frightening time for us all, but Acrewood has been a constant source of support. More than once, they have been proactive in ensuring we get the help needed to guarantee she has a safe, stable environment during the week to allow her dad to work and her mum to get medical treatment. In these complex circumstances, we’ve been able to entrust our daughter to their care, confident that she’s in a nurturing, child-centred setting—and that has meant the world to us.

Every nursery will have its strengths and weaknesses, but for us, Acrewood has been nothing short of child and parent-driven, taking into account the well-being of the whole family. We trust that the welfare of the children is at the very heart of their ethos and practice.
