Our Vision, Values and Aims 

At Acrewood our vision is to create a homely environment where children and families feel comfortable, happy, secure, familiar, and respected. 

We want all our children to have the same rich opportunities and experiences to be able explore the world around them through play, with the support of attentive practitioners who help children develop their knowledge and skills in their own time and own way. 

We want to embed a listening culture in which practitioners’ use all of their senses to listen to children; inclusive of those who are not yet verbal. We want all of our children to feel respected and listened to and in control of their own learning which will empower them to be competent and confident learners 

To continually explore ways to build on our capacity for improvement through working in collaboration with children, families, partners and each other.

To use current thinking and research in quality in early learning and child care to continually drive improvement, and provide positive outcomes for children who use our service.

To promote well-being for all of our children and their families, ensuring this underpins everything that we do.

To provide nurturing, and enabling learning environments that actively promote early learning in well-being, communication, mathematics, curiosity, inquiry and creativity through play.

To promote equity for all through our supportive and inclusive environment.  We will use our strong connections with families to help reduce barriers  which may affect children’s learning.
